Hello Darlings,
Do you have chats with the Universe? I told the Universe I wanted to experience easy prosperity from now on and asked for a sign that I was heard. I watched All the Light We Cannot See on Netflix and thought, “What a great story, the book must be even better.” I went out on a walk and found a Little Free Library with All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr sitting pretty in there, saying “Hello, can I come home with you?”
When you get into abundance, prosperity, and wealth, invariably we start pointing the finger at scarcity as the problem. Today I heard something smarty pantsy from a coach about being a super-receiver, I was like yaasss queen, but then when she got to something like, “If your reality isn’t 100%, like if you have a migraine, you can’t accept that,” and then 😬 I was silently thinking to myself, “Oh, she went there…”
Here are six possible trust breakdown bowling pins that her statement knocked over:
Invalidation of Pain and Suffering: It implies that experiencing pain or discomfort, like a migraine, is a failure to accept reality. This disregards the genuine suffering of people and invalidates their experiences.
Pressure for Perfectionism: By suggesting that one must have a “100%” reality, it promotes an unrealistic standard of perfectionism. This can lead to chronic stress, anxiety, and feelings of inadequacy when people inevitably fall short of this standard.
Ignoring That the Best That Humans Can Do Is The Best They Can Do!!: Her statement suggests that people should high vibe their way through pain or discomfort rather than acknowledging and honoring their limits while doing the best they can, and that if their best doesn’t get them to 100% they’ve failed. She suggested that people can go see a doctor, but as all of us who have migraines know… The doc can suggest we take pills or maybe even get botox injections but many of us have been dealing with this from childhood and pills haven’t cured us. Neither has botox. The medical system doesn’t have all the answers, we don’t yet have a cure for cancer, genetics can sometimes spring unpleasant surprises, etc.
Undermining Mental Health: Statements like these can undermine mental health struggles. They suggest that any mental or physical health issue is simply a failure to high vibe your way to a better reality rather than a legitimate concern that may require support or treatment.
Disregard for Empathy and Compassion: It lacks empathy and compassion for those experiencing challenges. Instead of offering understanding and support, it implies that people are somehow deficient for not being able to maintain an ideal high vibe reality at all times.
Promotion of Toxic Positivity: This statement falls into the trap of toxic positivity, which is the belief that you have to maintain a positive mindset at all times, even when facing difficult circumstances that you really don’t have any control over. It dismisses the validity of negative emotions and experiences.
And A LOT of people go there. They promise that they have the answer, the solution, to move out of Stressville and get rid of scarcity, but never can deliver. Not just because they’re Ponzi schemers or rascally charlatans, though some are, but mostly because they are solving for Pi. Everyone can come up with a different answer, calculate it more, but no one is coming up with a definitive answer any time soon.
Scarcity is baked into biology, the physical nature of our reality, and built into the brains, nervous systems, and bodies of every living thing on this planet. How are you going to solve for that?
I have a few ideas 😏
“It’s not too complicated. You simply get those earthier aspects of yourself well incorporated with all the other parts of yourself. This is integration. This is cohesion…”
