Create Wealth by Accessing Your Flow of Creative Genius
Genius? Money? Success? Are we plonking a cat into the bath?? πββ¬ππ
Alooooha kΔkou, aloha everyone πΊπ€π»
Lately, I have been quiet on here because I had to scale back hard and fast with content creation and management πͺοΈ and go back to where I started in 2017 β YouTube, because I realized that you really cannot give your best when you are spread thin all over the place.
Stepping back a bit helped me regroup and consider something important I would love for you to think about too β what do you really love? What would you do just for the wild fun and sheer bliss of it?
A friend of mine told me that there was a time in her life when she was devouring relationship books because she really wanted to be in one. Now, she is happily with someone and no longer reading those books. That is a conditional interest.
For me personally, my unconditional, perennial interest has always been creative genius. Since I was a kid, I was that weirdo with her nose in the New York Times reading about Yves St. Laurent, reading Charles Dickens, and reading about Sojourner Truth. I was simply hooked on great people doing great things, which I still am β Shirley MacLaineβs Out on a Limb is on my night stand, David Attenborough and Barbara Kingsolver are welcome guests in my home. And I love helping people figure out π‘ how to link genius + money.
Think about this, yβall:
π΅ Michaelangelo was at the top with one of the highest net worths during the Renaissance at $40mil+. Back in those days, artists were considered low class people who weren't worth calling by their names β this guy told the POPE to call him by his name. The audacity!
π΅ Shakespeare plunked down $20k for ownership of his own theater company for the right to put on any damn play he pleased to (which is like how Jay-Z played it right legally to take ownership of his master records and the publishing rights back in '04 and Phillip K. Dick took 100% ownership of ebook revenue which offset getting screwed by a major publishing company's contract terms)
π΅ Parisian art dealer Paul Durand-Ruel acquired some 5,000 impressionist works when nobody thought they were worth anything β he single-handedly bankrolled upcoming artists like Renoir and Monet even at the risk of bankruptcy and did not see the returns until his last years of life (I had a fantastic time talking to an art dealer friend about this amazing man!)
The starving artist myth comes from ScΓ¨nes de la vie de BohΓ¨me by Henri Murger and has become a gag order, a silent killer of the confidence to present the case for rich reward and just compensation for the tremendous work and service that creatively gifted, sensitive, and high-achieving entrepreneurs and artists produce. To read more on this, I recommend reading Real Artists Donβt Starve by Jeff Goins.
Hereβs a video from me on wealth creation, your flow of creative genius, and spirituality, the domain of the soul that liberates us to perceive limitless possibility.
